music2work2 - Goals for 2013

So – in no particular order:

  1. launch a mobile app that is fully integrated with the web platform, allowing people to listen to music on the go and gain access to the full catalog if they become paying members.


  2. Get the music2work2 Wikipedia page established (any editors who like music2work2 please get in touch, I’ve got IMDB refs and links to other projects that should suffice.)


  3. Publish at least 6 pieces of music as against last year’s rather anemic 2


  4. Produce a weekly blog series on “Influences” that can be curated on YouTube as well


  5. Work with other artists and develop the music2work2 sound


  6. Launch the custom made music service for people who want to commission unique music to work to for themselves or as a gift.


  7. Develop the music2play2 brand and launch stand-a-alone websites for:
    • music2live2.com
    • music2love2.com
    • music2run2.com
    • music2study2.com
    • music2drive2.com
    • music2blog2.com
    • music2eat2.com
    • music2paint2.com
    • music2program2.com
    • music2sleep2.com
    • music2space2.com
    • music2think2.com
    • music2wish2.com
    • music2write2.com

So – if we get all that done this year – Charlotte and I will be very stoked!

There’s lots and lots of new music coming out in the next few months: the finished soundtrack for Moments of Perfection, the development of Frustration II as well as another Minecraft track. I do want to tackle Scary Movie Music this year as well as develop the first joint composition with Mike.

We’re going to be working much more closely with INDMusic in promoting the music2work2 YouTube channel so look for some significant activity over there.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

OK – so that’s it for music2work2 2012 – it has been a crazy ass year – more ups and downs than a porn star’s bottom (apparently – or so I’m told!)

Now that we’ve made it to the end we can forget about the bad stuff and focus on the good:

We are hatching cunning plans for 2013 which include:

  • The production of way more music
  • Music in two different movies
  • Develop of the Minecraft playlist
  • More work with Producer Mike Lesniak
  • Dancing girls!

Ok, so maybe not the last one, but I’m always hopeful.

I’m off to Scotland for Christmas and the New Year with a side trip to Paris in-between; this is purely for creative inspiration (at least that’s what I’m telling the IRS!) Charlotte is ensconced in North Carolina, scouring the internet for more information on how music affects you – the human being!

We wish everybody a happy holiday season – if we survive the Mayans and the new year we’ll see back here in January.

200,000 views on YouTube

This weekend saw quite a milestone for music2work2 as we blew past 200,000 video views on YouTube - wow!

Charlotte and I wish to say thank you to everyone who listened, liked, commented or sent us messages - we appreciate every single one of you.

We're in the process of re-vamping everything: new visuals, new playlists, new partnerships etc, we've still got a few things to iron out but should be ready to go in the next week or so.
