music2work2 - it had better work...

So, after more than 2 years working full time on the Kelli project - I'm looking for a new challenge. Spent the back end of last week looking at me, my life, what I have done, my skills, experiences etc and found it to be a very illuminating experience and one that actually made me feel pretty good. Of course - my resume doesn't look terribly "normal" - I don't know many other people who dropped a corporate career at the age of 30 to join a rock band in Los Angeles - but hey - I've been exposed to so much that I would never have experienced - I wouldn't change a thing.

I have managed to distill myself down into three key areas: Music, People and Technology -  I'm going to build my resume and job search around these constructs.  I will be using this blog as a tool to help me with the process - I reckon that the more open I am - the easier it is for a future employer to see whether I am a good fit.  Here are the plans for this week:

So - let's see how far I get - oh - and music2work2 does work - I was listening to frustration while writing this and it did block everything else out - ;-)

music2work2 cds

Since the time that I was posting here on a regular basis - prior to breaking my hand - music2work2 has sent four more cds to CD Baby for sell and distribution. So far, CD Baby has only completed "doing what they do" to one of the new cds and have distributed it to places like iTunes, Amazon, etc. along with the first cd "music2work2 people 1, 2006." How exciting to see music2work2 available on a site like iTunes. It signifies a huge step taken for music2work2 in the music business. It makes the "dream" really real! I hope the other cds will be distributed soon; we will be sure to let everyone know when that happens.

And the Universe says "Slow Down..."

...so we did. music2work2 is the product of two people - Andrew - who writes the music and Charlotte - who writes the text. This is what Charlotte's hand looks like:

As you can imagine - it makes typing, marketing, creating CD's, just about anything - pretty impossible. So - things are going to be going a little slower with music2work2 for the next week or so. Andrew is in one of his cycles where he's not producing music but focusing on the Kelli gig - lots happening over there at the moment - check out the new Preacher's Daughter video.

We should be back up and running soon - we are putting out 4 new albums and we have liner notes and images to produce before they can be distributed - but hang in there - we are.
