Continuing in on Monday's development - I definitely feeling the time sigs now - it's actually really starting to come together. Probably close for final recording.
I've really got to come up with a name for this track - people certainly seem to dig it.
I've got the main theme / melody down and the second theme but it needs to worked up to define a third and hell why not, a possible fourth. Need to wrap my head round that a bit.
I like the tempo at 113 bpm - and I like the idea of alternating the 6.8 time with the 4 time - need to work on that a bit.
(and I do love the comments from people on Periscope - do they think I'm actually looking at the screen while I play? ;-ppp)
Was working this up on an old Steinway over the weekend. Having been working on a few different themes it was nice to come back to this one with fresh eyes.
I like the idea of using the same middle section as Norma's theme - they are after all deeply related - but I'm liking the idea of using different time signatures and progressions in the verse sections.
Think I'll be working this all week.
