This is still too slow but the piece is taking shape and is actually pretty good music to work to already.
I can hear strings all over this and might have a play with them later on tonight. I am going to try and resist the temptation to make the piano any more complicated than it already is; there's something about the repetitive figure that creates a space from which you can lose yourself - and that's the whole point.
