Here's the minor theme development of the New York Jet's fight song that I was hearing at the back end of last week.

I'm beginning to get a feel of how this can be stitched together - telling a story with the different emotions - should be fun!
Late this morning but spent a lot of time on this particular development. I hear a full band on top of this and it sounds amazing - unfortunately - this is just a bit of the piano track ;-)

I find this process to be the best way of teasing out the different themes inside one particular melody - all the pieces this week come from the same core notes but each one is different and reflects the tempo and time signature that felt right at the time. A few more days of this and we'll have something to work with.
Here's the beginning of a variation - developing the final tag - this could be promising.

This morning had the click at 89 beats per minute - I love how this has so much more energy than yesterday's basic establishment of the theme - think I'll play with this tomorrow too.
