Mars Lasar - "Amy's Lullaby"

"Amy's Lullaby" by Mars Lasar, as the name might suggest, is a very sweet song. It is piano driven and has a lovely melody. It is calming and soothing.

The sound of the music box brings back memories of one that was given to me as a child. I loved to play it over and over. When the box lid was opened, the movement or mechanism of the music box was revealed. I watched the cylinder go round and round as the notes emanated from the little metal pieces striking the cylinder. I was fascinated that such pretty music came from this little wooden box. I think the song it played was "Fur Elise."

Mars Lasar is another musician Last.fm lists as being similar to music2work2. In fact, this particular song reminds me of music2work2’s “Vincent.” Two very pretty songs that can calm and sooth the listener, regardless of age.

New Layout, iTunes and CDs

This is a super quick post 'cos it's late and I'm jolly tired - but - I just finished the new layout for the music2work2 site - new album colors, fully linked up album pages with links to mysongstore, iTunes and CDBaby.  I am very stoked - you can visit the music2work2 home page here. I didn't really get near the blog this week - spent more time on the resume - getting a new gig is a priority - having said that - I now feel much better about people coming to music2work2.  I've still got work to do on liner notes but its pretty close.  OK - Sleeeeeeeeeeeep

New Season - New Hope

I love the summer - the hot days, the beach, the kids out of school - but its not my favorite time.  That starts today - the back end of the year - the time when everything comes together - I'm very hopeful about what is ahead - which is where this piece came from. [display_podcast]

I still have one or two bits to finish off on the layout of the blog which I'll get to today - I do like today's T-Shirt:

Something went wrong...

Here's to an incredible week!
