The end of summer

This is Labor Day weekend, the holiday signifying the end of summer. It certainly doesn't feel like the end of summer - the heat and humidity are still unbearable. It has been a busy summer for music2work2 and an exciting one. We haven't gotten the changes made yet for the new look of the web site , but we are getting more and more registrations on our web site, getting more MySpace friends, getting loads of positive feedback, and individuals are playing our music on their MySpace page.

It's all good..........even if it is the end of summer!

Have a safe and happy holiday.

Unusual combinations

Andrew had a brilliant idea a while back to seach for MySpace friends based on the musicians/bands that are influences on music2work2. The first search was for people who also liked Michael Nyman and Pink Floyd. Would you believe the search resulted in over 900 matches? This second round is an even more unusual combination - Paganini and Keith Richards. Less than 50 matches there.

This is a very interesting way of finding people who might like our music. And, apparently his idea was right on!

music2work2 Update

When we spoke over the phone today, Andrew and I got back to some of the paperwork, the licensing, etc. that we began a while back. Looks like we will finally be able to get the music2work2 sessions licensed, and hopefully very soon be able to start our own radio station. Looking at the list of  music2work2 sessions, it became really apparent how much new music has been produced this year. Five new sessions have been composed so far this year, and even more than that have been completed this year and posted on the web site. That is in addition to the development pieces that Andrew has recently been working on.

I think the music gets better and better, if that's possible - - it's hard to improve on something that is already so good. I really love the music2work2 sessions, to actually work to, and also just to listen to. I am so pleased and honored to be a part of this music endeavor. It is all very exciting!
