Jets - Development 83

Late this morning but spent a lot of time on this particular development. I hear a full band on top of this and it sounds amazing - unfortunately - this is just a bit of the piano track ;-)

I find this process to be the best way of teasing out the different themes inside one particular melody - all the pieces this week come from the same core notes but each one is different and reflects the tempo and time signature that felt right at the time. A few more days of this and we'll have something to work with.

Jets - Development 89

Here's the beginning of a variation - developing the final tag - this could be promising.

This morning had the click at 89 beats per minute - I love how this has so much more energy than yesterday's basic establishment of the theme - think I'll play with this tomorrow too.

F7E7Eb - End Development with Strings

I'm chasing down a particular theme - you'll hear it develop this week. Last week I was working on string layering - I kinda dig where this was going - might incorporate it somewhere over the coming days... [audio:f7e7ebmp3.mp3| titles= F7E7Eb Development|artists=music2work2 ]

This comes from a theme development based around a three chord transition: F7, E7, Eb - this was the final out theme and I love how the strings sit on top. The keys need to be dialed in a little more but I dig the overall effect.
