Getting into the mood

I’ve been struggling with the expression of the central sex theme – I have the core theme – it’s just getting into it that has been a problem. I like where today’s development has taken it – much more of a gentle lead in – although it does get a bit abrupt when we finally start to ascend – I need to smooth that a bit.

Should be tracking this tomorrow night – looking forward to it.

Oh - and the crazy fire wielding human up there on the right - that's the director - SAmi - playing with texture!!!

From Fucking to Kissing

Yes I'm totally writing risque titles to grab your attention - but hey - the movie is centered on sex and they do actually kiss and cuddle at the end of it!! ;-p

I've been working on a couple of things with this theme - one is how to sync with the actual animation; the scenes intertwine lovemaking with abstract mandala imagery and I think I've solved how to manage that; you might hear at the beginning of the clip how I'm staying on the root for a few bars before ascending the theme - it's something I'll be developing over the next few weeks.

The second issue is how to transition from the frenzy of the act into the calmer and infinitely more romantic kiss at the end - and while this version isn't exactly right, it definitely opens a doorway to where I want to take it.

For now I'm just using the image of the Mandala - not quite ready to post some of the Kama Sutra stock images just yet!!!!

Moments of Perfection - Core theme in 6 time

Lots going on - and we mean lots! So much so that we barely have time to get some music up on the site - but as music is the only reason we're here - we thought it best to get something up this week!

This is the continued development of the core MOP theme but this time in 6/8 - I'm liking where it's going - can't wait to hear it with the new patches after it get's put through Digital Performer - should have some of that next week.

When we get a breather over the weekend we'll update with some good news! More soon...
