The Early Years - Part 2

Predominately from 2004 and 2005, these 4 tracks continue the development of music2work2 from themes written for specific events to stand alone pieces that have a life and meaning of their own. Averaging between 15 and 20 minutes long, these pieces set the general shape of a typical music2work2 piece. Piano driven with string melodies and the occasional organ on top - this is one of my favorite albums.

Amp Driven - 13 Minutes 30 Seconds

61 beats per minute, piano driven, strings, organs and a chilled out vibe

music2work2 is constantly evolving and moving forward, I think this is why it works as background music for people who wish to create something.  Whereas a traditional song might refine a theme and repeat it in a familiar verse / chorus structure, music2work2 comes out in a continuous flow and goes where the muse takes it.

Amp Driven is a good example of this but rather than have me write about it – why don’t you download it and see if it works for you.  Create a “Work” playlist if you don’t have one already and throw a bunch of tracks in there.  Add Amp Driven and see if you stay “in the moment” longer than normal.

Music2Work2 - 61 BPM

So - I'm tracking again tonight - sometimes it just comes - shot more video - won't mix it tonight - but I think its pretty cool. Beat track, piano, strings and organ - I think I want to add another couple of beats to it. Seeing as posting a video of the session is going to be a little tougher than I thought it would be - (no surprise there!) - here's a photo and the sound track of tonight's work - as ever - much editing to be done.
