Mars Lasar - "Amy's Lullaby"

"Amy's Lullaby" by Mars Lasar, as the name might suggest, is a very sweet song. It is piano driven and has a lovely melody. It is calming and soothing.

The sound of the music box brings back memories of one that was given to me as a child. I loved to play it over and over. When the box lid was opened, the movement or mechanism of the music box was revealed. I watched the cylinder go round and round as the notes emanated from the little metal pieces striking the cylinder. I was fascinated that such pretty music came from this little wooden box. I think the song it played was "Fur Elise."

Mars Lasar is another musician Last.fm lists as being similar to music2work2. In fact, this particular song reminds me of music2work2’s “Vincent.” Two very pretty songs that can calm and sooth the listener, regardless of age.

Boys Bedtime Music 2006

Boys Bedtime Music on music2work2.com is a slow, soothing music session, for which the title is perfect.Listening to it, I feel myself becoming very relaxed and calm.

The clear notes of the piano near the end of the piece bring to mind the image of the tinkling sounds of a music box as it winds down.By the time it reaches its end, a sense of peacefulness has certainly fallen over the listener, and sleep quite easily might not be far behind.

This is a wonderful piece to help get rid of the tension of a frustrating work day, a hard day of play and study at school, or just to "wind down" from the stress of everyday life.
