Having just returned from Paris and experiencing some wonderful Parisian hospitality,
I wanted to say thank you to my Aunt Irene for hosting us. I come from a large
family, my father had two brothers and two sisters who all married and had kids
- the cousins all get along famously even though we are scattered across the
globe. Alexandre is Irene and Dominic's youngest and we had a blast together
on this trip - I will miss them.
Dominic was the first of the elder McCluskey siblings to pass away last year
- I could feel the impact it had on my father. It was strange to be in Paris
with Irene and Alexandre and for Dominic not to be there. He was a larger than
life character - a man who always seemed to have a twinkle in his eye and who
always showed me great affection. He was definitely the "Cool" uncle
- working as a lawyer for Supertramp and AC/DC - come on - how cool can you
get?
