Wendis Theme - October, 2003 Themes are the core component of music2work2 sessions; they allow us to make sense of the music. My method of finding themes is purely to play, often with a metronomic click keeping time. Sometimes I will sit at the keyboard with an idea or a concept in my mind, anything that evokes a strong emotion for me. Unsurprisingly for such an emotional construct, the most emotive things to me are people. Wendi's theme is one of a few that belong to my wife. I adore this piece for many different reasons. The complete session is coming in at around 8:00 minutes and I hope to have it available later this year. The development of the initial theme introduces another three or four voices and builds in intensity all the way through. 4.19.2006 post was the first time the strings and piano voices really sat well together and had a huge influence on the development of all time favorite 1218. I actually find this session very difficult to work to as it grabs my attention too much - probably not for the Music2Work2 catalog, perhaps on the music2love2 site? 5.6.2006 posting gives an indication of where the keys are moving to. I like this tempo too - 109 BPM - halved!
